2000 Open Water Swims

The Seventh Annual Potomac River Swim for the Environment, a 7.5 mile crossing of the mouth of the river for limited number of experienced swimmers, will take place June 3. An 8-mile swim in the Chester River, again for a limited number of experienced participants, will take place June 17. And on July 8, the Ninth Annual Maryland Swim for Life to Benefit People with HIV/AIDS will offer 1, 2, 3 and 4-mile events on the Chester River. All four distances are open to all swimmers.
These events will feature artistic t-shirts and prizes, a festive atmosphere, good food and fun for all, including families and friends, while highlighting safety and benefiting environmental and health organizations
