Happy New Year. I hope that everyone had a good holiday season and has at least one, as yet, unbroken resolution. Maybe you can add a swimming resolution or two and use 2001 to add something to what you have been doing in the past. Maybe try to:
- Attend a group workout (coached or uncoached) you'll meet some new people (and maybe improve your swimming too!)
- Add some variety to your training-- do some different strokes or types of sets
- Enter a meet you'll make some new friends and maybe surprise yourself
- Try a fitness event (like the February Fitness Challenge)
- If you already do meets, try entering a different event or two
- Enter an open water swim -- there are a number of different distance events within a few hours drive
- Add some cross-training to your routine
- Get more involved with your team or LMSC organization.
