Potomac Valley Awards

The Potomac Valley Swimmers of the Year for the 1999-2000 Short Course Yards season were Jayne Bruner (DC Masters) and Jeffrey Roddin (Montgomery Ancient Mariners). Completing a DCM sweep in the women’s division were Barbara Frid, Joann Leilich, Hedy Pullman and Anne Walker. For the men, Clay Britt (ANCM), Wally Dicks (ANCM), Robert Casey (DCM) and Doug Chestnut (ANCM) rounded out the top five.

PV swimmers and relays posting the Top USMS Times during the season were:

Joann Leilich (DCM) 60-64: 50 (37.10), 100 (1:21.55)* and 200 (3:00.20) breaststroke

Jayne Bruner (DCM) 65-69: 50 freestyle (30.76), 50 backstroke (39.06), 50 (39.12)*, 100 (1:26.53)* and 200 (3:22.31) breaststroke, 50 (36.46) and 100 (1:27.10) butterfly, 100 IM (1:19.47)

Timothy Boyd (ANCM) 25-29: 100 freestyle (45.73)

Wally Dicks (ANCM) 35-39: 50 (25.98) , 100 (56.64)* and 200 (2:04.78)* breaststroke

Clay Britt (ANCM) 35-39: 50 backstroke (23.94)

Robert Casey (DCM) 55-59: 1650 freestyle (19:25.14)

DCM 55+ 200 free relay - Barbara Frid, Joann Leilich, Barbara Zaremski and Jayne Bruner (2:09.95)

ANCM 25+ 200 free relay - Michael Fell, Timothy Boyd, Clay Britt and Jeffrey Roddin (1:25.16)

DCM Mixed 55+ 200 free relay - Lee Bettis, Robert Casey, Barbara Zaremski and Jayne Bruner (1:56.49)
